Kristina Asriyan

Biography

Kristina Asriyan is a multicultural and multilingual stage and film actor, singer and dancer. She began her career on stage at age 4 with dance and music ; performing in ballet, Latin ballroom, traditional Armenian and cultural dances as well as music and vocal productions in the US as well as Armenia and Russia. A graduate of NYC’s renowned “FAME school” – LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, majoring in voice & music as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a focus on musical theater – her NYC theater credits include Friends of The Deceased (Gene Frankel Theater) , The Rocky Horror Show (The Theatre Co) and the role of Amneris in Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA (YC Theatre) – for which she earned Best Supporting Actress (YC Royals). Kristina is the lead in short drama film Crossing the Line , a modern take on Romeo & Juliet’s forbidden love , between an Egyptian-American track runner and an All-American HS football player. The film won Best Short at NYC Indie Film Awards. She also stars in ultra-short film HOME – an allegorical take on Kris’ real-life personal experience as a refugee – the film was named finalist in director’s Terry George x Creative Armenian human rights film challenge. Kristina just wrapped principal photography in a supporting role in an upcoming major motion picture slated for release in September 2019. Kristina released her debut EP “Not Gonna Lie” a personal album of her original songs, as well as multiple singles – under stage name Kris Alberts.
